Accreditation, answered

The questions parents ask before they trust a certificate.

Is Discovery Private an accredited school?

Yes. Discovery Private is an approved Pearson Edexcel centre (Centre ID 94814) and its PKBM is accredited Grade B (Baik) by BAN PAUD PNF. It is registered with Kemendikbudristek under NPSN P9996824.

What is the difference between accreditation, registration and approval?

Registration means the school legally exists and is recorded by the Ministry. Accreditation means an independent board has assessed its quality. Approval, as an examination centre, means Pearson has authorised the school to offer its qualifications.

Does Discovery Private offer International GCSE and A Level?

Yes. As an approved Pearson Edexcel centre, we offer Edexcel Academic Qualifications, including International GCSE and International A Level.

What is a PKBM, and what is the national ijazah?

Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat is a community learning centre in Indonesia's non-formal education system. Our registered PKBM can offer programmes leading to the Indonesian national ijazah.

Will universities accept my child's qualifications?

Pearson Edexcel International qualifications are widely recognised by universities worldwide. Requirements differ by university and course, so we recommend checking with your chosen institutions.

Can I verify these credentials?

Yes. Our BAN PAUD PNF accreditation (certificate No. PKBM/16400/0134/12/2022) can be checked at banpaudpnf.or.id, and Pearson can confirm our approved status using Centre ID 94814. Contact us if you need our registration details.
